Hours:                         6 hours per day, M to F on student days

Rate of Pay:                 As per SEIU-West Agreement

Required Skills/Training:       

• Minimum Grade 12 education.
• Post-secondary courses in programs such as Early Childhood Development, Educational Assistant, Personal Care Aide or similar related areas and/or related experience would be considered an asset.
• Training in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention and Physical Assault Response would be considered an asset.
• Experience with, and ability to handle, high needs children with a variety of emotional needs would be considered an asset.
• Experience with, and ability to handle, the needs of Pre-Kindergarten children would be considered an asset.
• Based on the needs of individual students, ability to provide support with medical needs, assistance in occupational therapy, physical therapy, dressing, eating, toileting, transferring and transportation could be required.
• First Aid/CPR would be considered an asset.
• Possess a current and valid driver’s license.
• Training or experience in the French Immersion programming will be considered an asset.

Requirements:

• Familiarity and understanding of the practices of the Roman Catholic Faith would be considered an asset
• Recent (within 6 months) Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check upon employment
